Hi welcome to the royal jelly benefits web site. This is a web site that speaks only of the benefits and non benefits of royal jelly. This product is sold in most health stores and many specialized web stores. It a small amount of research behind the benefits and a great deal of evidence offered by royal jelly users.

Royal Jelly benefits started with the Native American populations and some of our own first ancestors. There has been very little research done on the positive benefits that royal jelly may offer. The benefit lists are gotten from the thousands of people who have used the product over a long period of time.

Royal Jelly is a substance of complex chemical structure produced by the young nurse bees as larva food. It is not quite as well known as bee pollen but many people say it has the same benefits. Royal jelly is the only food given to all young larvae in their maturing years. It is the only food feed to queen bees. Queen bees outlive all other types of bees in the typical colony and from that the anti aging benefit is derived. During the time she is fed royal jelly she grows faster and larger than any other bee in the colony. Queen bees live 5 to 6 years where a worker bee only lives about 45 days tops.

Another reason people believe royal jelly gives tremendous energy is the Queen bee’s lifestyle. The Queen is fertilized only once and lays up to three thousand eggs a day during the egg laying season and she can do this her entire life. We as observers feel that this shows she has extremely high energy levels and she eats nothing but royal jelly I have never seen or heard of anyone who has eaten only royal jelly in the same amounts as a bee but thousands of people swear it gives them energy when eaten in only small amounts. Another vote for high energy is royal jelly contains high amounts of the B complex well known for energy inducement.

Royal Jelly studies show these benefits.

  • A study showed mice given royal jelly for 16 weeks were helped to live longer.
  • Other rodent studies indicate increased bone strength.
  • A human study showed lower cholesterol from royal jelly supplementation.
  • Another small human 4 week study showed decreased total cholesterol and LDL levels. It did not effect HDL levels.
  • The only energy or fatigue study was done in mice. It showed that royal jelly does have anti fatigue effects. Studies in human athletes showed no effect, however these people were already highly trained athjletes.
